Total Hip Replacement: Anterior Approach
Objective: Create a surgical illustration depicting a total hip replacement using the anterior approach That highlights the five most critical steps. The goal is to aid medical students or advanced learner what anatomical structures and surgical instruments are visible and used during this procedure.
Process: After observing video and live surgery initial sketches were created to describe import steps in the process. Sketches were done digitally using Procreate and arranged in photoshop. After approval of sketching phase Final renders were created in Photoshop and then arranged and labeled in Illustrator.
Result: Aid in the learners ability to visualize the main steps and anatomical structures of the anterior approach to a hip replacement.
